A public release of ReSharper 7, a new version of the well-known extension for Microsoft Visual Studio, took place.
ReSharper 7 provides full support for Visual Studio 2012, while maintaining compatibility with versions of Visual Studio 2005, 2008 and 2010. “With this release we want to help .NET-developers who intend to quickly move to developing Metro-applications on the Windows 8 platform. The sooner companies start publishing applications on the Windows 8 Marketplace, the more profit they will receive.ReSharper will allow them to speed up development for Windows 8, ”says Ilya Ryzhenkov, ReSharper product manager.“ On the other hand, ReSharper 7 is good for those who are developing more traditional .NET applications — it offers new ways of refactoring, tracking and learning code, not to mention the improved support for certain languages, including XAML, JavaScript and VB.NET.
