Preamble.
Grief overtook me some time ago. After visiting the sites and pages, with an increased concentration of flash content, with a complaint about the flash plugin, Chrome began to fall, suddenly, thoroughly and mercilessly. Restarting Chrome did not save, it required a complete reboot of the system.
It should be noted that I love and use Chrome for dynamic content, like YouTube and everything flash and js-containing (for obvious reasons).
')
Laziness-mother urged not to attach any importance to this. But each reboot for me is a whole event, because open dozens, if not hundreds, of tabs, dozens of programs launched. This is my way of life. Therefore, reboot is a very undesirable event.
The moment came when my patience broke, and I decided to deal with this problem. Put an end to this story.
The solution, by the way, turned out to be quite simple, and, at the same time, effective.
The solution was found on request in google “google chrome shockwave flash plugin crash” already in the top ten.
Further, my free, concise translation, only the essence, literally summary.
Chrome has its own, separate from the system, copy of the installation of a flash player. The problem usually arises when Chrome defines both installations in its plug-ins, and they conflict with each other.
To check if this is the case, you need to enter the text "about: plugins" (without quotes) in the address bar in Chrome. The plugin manager will open. Information on installed plugins (this is not the same as extensions) will be given in a compressed form.
As you can see in the picture, flash plug-ins already 2 pieces. In my case there were even three of them, but one was turned off, so I did not go into details.
In the upper right corner you need to click on "[+] more."
All you have to do is disable the "extra" plugin. The author recommends disabling the built-in chrome. Meanwhile, the built-in plugin is automatically updated with every Chrome update. But the system - not necessarily. Those. disabling the built-in plug-in, we lose the automatic update of the flash plug-in using Chrome. The author also warns about this.
The built-in plugin is located in the folder ... \ AppData \ Local \ Chrome \ Application \ ... and you can recognize it just along this part of the path.
A disabled plugin is marked with a gray background.
After that, you need to restart Chrome, and check the functionality of the flash. If everything is good, then enjoy life and enjoy flash content without failures.
If the problem persists, the author recommends “playing around” with other combinations, for example, turn off the external plug-in and turn it back on. In addition, it is recommended to try to visit sites with flash content in the “incognito” mode, since In this mode, all extensions that can run across the flash plug-in track are disabled.
In the end, if the “games” with plug-ins do not solve the situation, it is recommended to try reinstalling Chrome itself.

PS: In my case, simply disabling the plugin and restarting Chrome did not work. I had to reboot. So far, the flight is normal.
Update: if suddenly video clips stopped playing in chrome, instead of a video, there is a black window and a forever spinning loader, then we try to press the right mouse button on the video window, and we are surprised to find that instead of a flash, the video is played in HTML5 mode. That YouTube is conducting an experiment (pruflink:
