Japan supports copyright

Last week, four journalists from Sansai Books were arrested for selling last year’s magazines through the company's website. On the cover, which were posted materials aimed at reviewing methods for copying DVDs.

They violated the Japan law on unfair competition, which was recently revised. According to him, it is prohibited to sell any DRM bypass devices, and “pirated” software.

It is interesting to note that the Japanese police on violations in the field of the Internet, may also arrest the general director of the Japanese division of Amazon. As any citizen of Japan can buy books and magazines on DVD copying through Amazon.

It remains to be glad that in the CIS countries such situations are not yet foreseen.
