Interview with the head of the mobile direction Mail.ru Group
Last June, we (Nevosoft) held a professional conference in St. Petersburg dedicated to games on mobile platforms — the White Nights Mobile Games Conference . The conference was a success - there were many interesting speakers, useful meetings and movable bridges. Some speakers answered our questions after their presentation. We offer to watch a video interview with Alex Patsay, head of the mobile Mail.Ru Group.
Here is a list of questions:
1. Is it true that if a developer has a small mobile game, then the only chance to “shoot” is to get an Apple feature?
')
2. You say that you need to try to get reviews of the game on as many sites as possible. Those. it turns out that if you wrote about you, for example, on Pocketgamer - is this the first step to success?
3. What channels for promotion would you recommend? What are the two channels needed to promote a mobile game?
4. In the presentation you talked about the importance of the analyst. What metrics should be monitored first?
5. How often do I need to release updates for a socially mobile game?
6. Should developers only focus on the US? Or, more generally, to an English-speaking audience?
7. On which mobile markets are Mail.ru games currently represented?
8. How roughly calculated the marketing budget for the game. Well, for example, we will spend 100 thousand dollars for this game, and 200 thousand for the next. Or does the budget depend, say, on the conversion that the game shows after launching?
9. How much should I spend to make a million?
See all answers in the video (inside).
