Israel invites you to get acquainted with the industry of innovation

Two years ago I published on Habré an article “Start ... attention ... up! Hi-tech in Israel: the start-up industry . Since then, much water has flowed under the bridge, but the basic thesis has remained relevant to this day: Israel has something to learn.

This time we offer to get acquainted with Israel not in words but in deeds. The Start-Up Nation project (based on the best-selling eponymous book ) invites you to visit Israel for free on a tour of key locations in the Israeli innovation industry. A nice bonus: at the end of the tour participants will be able to personally present their project (if any) to a group of Israeli and international investors.

So: September 3-14, 2012, Israel will be visited by a group of specialists in various fields of the innovation industry: information technology, biotechnology, business management and innovation management, etc. They will be able to look behind the scenes of the Israeli world of start-ups through the eyes of the authors of the legendary book “Start-Up Nation”.

“In a world looking for the key to innovation, Israel is the only place to look for it. The West needs innovation. Israel begets them, ”say the authors of the best-selling“ Start-Up Nation ”Dan Senor and Saul Singer.

11 days - during this time, the tour participants will be able not only to get acquainted with the leaders of the Israeli start-up industry, but also to personally present their project to potential investors.

The organizer of this tour was the Jewish Agency "Sohnut", the tour operator - the company Yael Adventures, the information partner - the Jewish social platform JewishNet, the partner - the Jerusalem Startup Hub.

The project will visit the headquarters of Google in Israel, the international office of the world leader in IT security, Check Point, the corporation Better Place - the leader in the field of infrastructure for electric vehicles - and a number of other players in the Israeli innovation market.

The participants of the start-up tour will hold a business dinner with Knesset member Robert Ilatov, chairman of the lobby in support of high technology in Israel. There will also be organized a series of meetings with the leaders of Israeli start-up companies.

The first round of Taglit Start-Up Nation will be attended by 30 people from the CIS, as well as 10 startupers from Israel. In order to join the group, registration is required on one of the official pages of the project on the social network Facebook or VKontakte , as well as filling out a questionnaire .

Please note: the first round is sponsored by a number of Jewish organizations and is aimed at those who have Jewish roots. If you do not have them, it does not matter, just fill out this form here - and we will contact you at the time of the recruitment of the nearest group.

Just in case, I repeat: the tour is completely free and does not pursue any commercial benefit. Our goal is to demonstrate the Israeli model of innovation support and the potential of the Israeli start-up market.

See you!
