Skype confused message recipients

Skype users on the tech support forum complained that the Internet telephony service confused the recipients of private messages, writes Engadget.

The essence of the problem is that a message typed in a Skype chat can be received not only by its immediate addressee, but also by any other person from the contact list. This error was registered at once by several users of the service.

To make mistakes with Skype recipients began after installing the next update, the victims noted. Some "on the side" left a couple of messages, others - more.

Service administrators acknowledged that private messages can indeed be transmitted to a third party , but stressed that this rarely happens. Within "a few days" for Skype, a patch will be released that will fix the problem.

This issue occurs only when a user's Skype client crashes during a Skype IM session, which may in some cases result in the last IM entered or sent prior to the crash being delivered to a different IM contact after the Skype client is rebooted or logged in as a new user.

The problem occurs after the application “crashes” during a conversation, as a result, the last entered or sent message is sent to another contact after re-entering the network.
