Linux Screenshot Museum

PHP developer Chris Haney was not too lazy and gathered on his site a huge collection of screenshots of distributions of various Linux-systems, ranging from well-known to extremely exotic.

The most impressive is the number of “exhibits” - the collection numbers 1199 copies (I wonder what distribution was not enough to even the score?), Ordered in descending order, starting from July 13, 2004, until the actual date is 11.07.2012. The screenshots are viewed as a simple web application, and all the pictures are 600 by 900 pixels in size, which allows you to use the site, if not for just idle interest, then to get a visual representation of the distribution (screenshots of the console are also almost everywhere present). The server is fast, so there are no problems with viewing - at least for now.

A look at the abundance of Linux systems is available on the Chris website here .
