I hate ISPsystem

Good day, Habrasoobschestvo! Just share with you the experience of using the software company ISPsystem. Briefly, I will explain to those who are not familiar - this company produces panels for managing servers, hosting, a billing panel and a few more. Updates come often, errors are corrected and new features are added. Yes, and Russian developers, and the forum is - it seems like you can always communicate with developers, ask for help. It seems, here it is - a paradise on earth, the perfect socket.

But it turned out that it only seemed. At the forum, developers are divided into two categories - some can help something, others advise writing a plugin. I am very confused by the very implementation of many of the simplest, in my opinion, things. The panel can not, for example, pick up the already installed php modules (assumes that they are installed by an unknown panel method), and if you install them through the panel - the panel puts these modules with some kind of utility, not the system one (apt-get install, yum install and similar). Why, why - it is not clear. There is a file manager and a text editor in the panel, probably for convenient editing of small configs. Until recently, the panel could wipe the file being corrected while saving. In the panel there is no protection against busting passwords - still the way! Extremely strange implemented backup mechanism. Why it is impossible to specify that the created backup should be sent to the remote FTP? Why torment tar disks twice? Why not use rsync? The last thing that finished me and brought is the transfer of users. A new hardware arrived, and I decided to transfer my users to a new server, and turn off the old one and remove — and here the problems — the panel does not transfer domains, only files and databases. Gentlemen, are you suggesting that I create hundreds of domain names with my hands? Why am I paying for your software products that are frankly raw? Why are you still not able to properly update your own bundle "panel + billing on one server" - after the upgrade, something will fall? Why do I need a monastrous apache config, where all users are inscribed - is it really so difficult to create a new file in sites-enabled? By the way, what the hell is named config - a binary file ?!

Instead of conclusions

Dear ISPsystem, I'm tired of the fact that you have panels frankly damp. I'm sick of being gently hinting at the forum “fool himself” and “write your plugin”. I am not a programmer, I cannot write the PHP plugins I need. And I don’t intend to pay you 20 euros per hour for the work of your specialist. And I very much "liked" the last event - technical support climbed on the server, studying the problem with the transfer of users, transferred my request to my testing department (it was in the evening), and in the morning I happily write - you have no technical support, pay. It’s nice to avoid recognizing that with fresh CentOS 6.2, your panel works, to put it mildly, not very well? I'm not going to be your beta tester, I need a working product. Think about it, please. And I probably will look for other panels.
