Good day.
I appeal to the Chairman of the State Duma and deputies of the State Duma of the 6th convocation with a request to withdraw from consideration Bill No. 89417-6 and discuss it at open public hearings with the involvement of experts on the development of civil society and e-democracy in Russia, the Internet industry, telecom operators, all sectors the economy, whose activity depends on the speed of transmission of traffic on the Internet, and the press, given that the bill imposes restrictions on the freedom of dissemination of information in the Russian segment of ETA.

I consider it extremely important to stop the introduction of censorship in the Russian-speaking segment of the Internet and, in particular, on the territory of Russia - this will lead to the emergence of an “electronic curtain” that will have a detrimental effect on the rights and opportunities of Russian citizens, on the development of society as a whole and the development of the entire economy.

The proposed procedure for blocking on domain names and IP addresses (and not a point blocking on universal URLs of Internet pages URL) may entail a massive closure of bona fide resources. And the implementation of filtering will jeopardize the security of the functioning of the Internet and, from a technological point of view, will have a negative impact on the “connectivity” of the Internet and ensuring the protection of personal data of citizens in the network.
