Pros and cons of proprietary and open source software according to corporate clients

Barracuda Networks, offering anti-spam and virus protection software, as well as load balancing and instant messaging, surveyed 228 of its corporate customers to determine the benefits of open source software over proprietary software, and vice versa.

The answers, frankly, were a little awesome.

The main advantage of open source software is its price - indeed, free software is much more affordable than proprietary, and 80% of customers noted this factor. The second important factor was the openness of the source code (57% of Barracuda’s clients did not forget about this), and the third was the verification of the code by the community (41% noted). The rest of the results can be found on the Barracuda Networks table below.
The advantages of open source software
As for the advantages of proprietary software over open, 65% of respondents pointed out the lack of professional service providers as an obstacle to Open-Source (meaning companies like Accenture and Wipro). However, it is worth noting that this situation is rapidly changing and the main companies engaged in system integration already provide such services. That is, the problem remains, if I may say so, in people's minds, but not in reality.
Benefits of proprietary software
The second main advantage of proprietary software is easier integration in the company (which was noted by 47% of the respondents), but this advantage, although at a slow pace, is lost. The third advantageous difference proprietary software are automatic updates, which, it seems to me, it looks strange.
