The social network Facebook is constantly trying to come up with something new, and even if not new, then take what we have and make something new from it. So, recently it became known that Facebook is working on a job search and recruitment service. The service will collect relevant ads from other resources, and provide this information to Facebook users. Of course, such a service is simply doomed to popularity, because of the hundreds of millions of users of this social network, several tens of millions will clearly take advantage of the opportunity to look for work or employees without leaving Facebook.
Thus, this social network can become very serious competitors for such giants as LinkedIn and some other similar resources (for example, bulletin boards that do not participate in the Facebook project). It is known that at least three third-party job search services and employees will take part in the project. This is BranchOut, Jobvite, and Work4 Labs. The launch of the new service may take place in early August of this year. Interestingly, Facebook does not plan to monetize the service yet. Later, probably, attempts to monetize anyway.

So far, none of the proposed participants in the new project has commented on the news about the appearance of the service for finding work and vacancies from Facebook. Nevertheless, the source of information is reliable enough - in any case, the WSJ resource trusted him.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to say now how the new service will look and work. Whether it will be an integrated vacancy feed that any Facebook user can subscribe to, or whether it will be a separate category, is not yet clear. This service is a logical continuation of the partnership of Facebook with the US Department of Labor, and the agreement on cooperation between the two organizations was concluded in October last year. At the time of the conclusion of the cooperation agreement, it was stated that “the partnership will help develop a system when job advertisements are distributed as widely as possible, and free of charge for all.”
At the moment, the “personnel industry” market is estimated at about 4.3 billion dollars, so there’s something to work on. Well, Facebook, if desired, can become one of the market leaders.
