Duma banned alcohol advertising on the web
According to RBC, the State Duma of the Russian Federation in its second reading today, July 6, adopted a law completely prohibiting the advertising of alcoholic beverages, including beer, on websites and in periodic print media. Corresponding amendments will be made to the federal law “On Advertising”.
The same requirements will apply to the official websites of producers of alcoholic beverages. "They may exist, but the advertising of alcohol products on them will be banned," - said the head of the Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Igor Rudensky. However, he stressed that the ban applies specifically to alcohol advertising, and not to the product brand.
