Nokia: Plan B in case of a WP failure

At about the same time last year, Stephen Elop made it clear to the public that Nokia puts everything on Windows Phone, saying then that the company has no Plan B. "Plan B is to do everything for Plan A's success." But either something has changed in the past year, or Elop did not have the full knowledge of the super secret Plan B.

Appearing on Finnish television, Nokia’s chairman of the board of directors, Risto Siilasmaa, said that Nokia actually has a backup plan in case sales of products on Windows Phone 8 do not meet expectations. Siilasmaa, who took office only in May, nevertheless noted that he was confident in the success of Windows Phone 8. Unfortunately, Siilsmaa did not go into the details of Plan B (dismiss Elop?), But incidentally noted that the transition to Windows Phone was quite justified - "the share of Symbian was reduced to almost zero."

Nokia's mysterious backup plan - transition to Android? It is unlikely that we will find out in the coming years - it is obvious that the company will cling to Windows Phone with all its might and will do everything to make the platform prosper. Considering that Windows Phone 8 looks like a completely competitive platform and, according to all forecasts, will take almost second place in the market by 2016, Nokia is unlikely to face Plan B.

And you,% habraprapy%, what do you think about the Plan B Finnish Nokia?
