On July 3, an open interdisciplinary seminar on the use of modern information technologies in modern physics will be held at Yandex’s Moscow office.
Known scientists, specialists in nuclear technologies - Niko Neufeld, Marco Cattaneo, Ulrik Egede and Mitesh Patel will make scientific and technical reports. All of them are employees of CERN (European Center for Nuclear Research) and are working closely related to solving the computational problems of the LHCb experiment - one of the main experiments of the Large Hadron Collider.
Scientists from CERN will talk about the LHCb computational model, how the LHCb experiment data acquisition system is built, the existing problems, and the difficulties that will have to be encountered in connection with the development of the experiment by 2018.
