Google published a presentation of the new Google Now service, which was announced at the Google I / O conference as part of the Android 4.1 operating system.



Google Now is a personal search engine that processes voice and text requests, providing information taking into account the user's current GPS coordinates, personal information from the calendar, search history, navigation history, browsing history, and so on. From the user's point of view, the results of such a search are displayed in the form of “cards” (cards): there are only ten types of them developed so far, but new ones will appear in the future. The user can customize the cards to your taste and remove unnecessary.

In theory, the ribbon from the cards is great for a constant update on the monitor of Google Glass glasses, perhaps there it will work that way.

Card pops up before the meeting (from the calendar). It shows the route to the meeting place and the time is calculated on the way. The Android device will notify you when it is time to leave so that the user does not miss the meeting and arrives on time.

Displayed for users who have already searched for this information. Shows the schedule, flight status and weather conditions.

Results of matches live - for sports teams from the history of search queries.

Places

Information about nearby bars, restaurants and other places of entertainment, based on data about the location of the user, search history and travel history.
