New Yandex.Maps for iOS - with public transport routes
Today in the App Store Mobile Yandex.Maps for iOS have been updated.
The first change is striking immediately - this is design. We try to make the design not just for beauty, but to solve important tasks with the help of it. So, when displaying search results, we expanded the area of the map - so it’s more convenient to view the results. And another example - it is now possible to simultaneously view search results and traffic jams. This is useful for you, for example, if you are looking for a pharmacy while in a car.

The largest update is the construction of routes on public transport. Today, to see how best to get from one point in the city to another, can residents of 31 cities of Russia and 7 cities of Ukraine (see the list in the Help ).
The residents of Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod have the opportunity not only to plan the route, but also to see the traffic in real time right on the phone screen. In other words - you can see right on the phone how soon the bus will come to you.
In addition, we improved the design of the directory with the categories of organizations, it became more understandable, the “Search History” tab appeared in it - there you will see your previous queries.
Holders of devices with a Retina display are waiting for another pleasant surprise: Moscow maps are now displayed in high resolution. We are planning to add other city maps in HD quality.
