Google TV will be sold not only in the US

Google has officially announced that its set-top box Google TV will soon be sold outside the United States. In general, there are a lot of fans of all sorts of gadgets who are waiting for this moment. True, in Russia, this joy can not wait: first, Google TV will be sold in the UK (starting from the 16th of July), and after a while - in France, the Netherlands, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Brazil and Australia. Nothing is known about the CIS countries.



The Google TV model was named Sony NSZ-GS7, and if you don’t want to wait until the console still appears, you can pre-order it at the online store of a Japanese corporation. It is worth noting that some time later (approximately in the middle of autumn) a new model Google TV, Sony NSZ-GS9 will be available. The difference with this model is in adding some features, plus a Blu-ray player.

As for the cost, Google TV №1, if I may say so, will be sold at a price of 200 euros. The advanced model, Google TV # 2, will cost $ 299. It is worth noting that the device was first introduced in 2010, and to date these devices have been sold only in the United States. Of course, as the control software, the Android OS works here.



The prefix, as expected, extends the functionality of a conventional TV. With the help of Google TV, TV can be turned into a kind of PC. So, Google TV allows you to watch videos on the web, work with a browser, launch Android applications. For the convenience of working with Google TV there is a remote control, with a touchpad on one side, and a full-featured keyboard on the other.
