The Russian team has become a two-time world champion in underwater robotics

Last weekend, international competitions on remote-controlled uninhabited underwater vehicles (underwater robots) MATE International ROV Competition 2012 were held in Orlando, Florida.
The team from Vladivostok became the champion of the competition, thus becoming by now the two-time world champion.

These are the fifth competitions in which a team from Vladivostok takes part.
Performance history:
2008 - 8th place;
2009 - 4th place;
2010 - 1st place;
2011 - 4th place;
2012 - 1 place.

This is the FEFU student team (formerly always the joint team of the Far Eastern State University and the Far Eastern State Technical University), which is being taught by the staff of the Institute of Marine Technology Problems
