Alpha version of Android ICS port for Samsung GT-S8500 (Wave) released

The long-awaited alpha version of the android under the Samsung GT-S8500 (Wave) has been released.


In this port of android works:

• Touch screen, buttons
• Wi-Fi
• Cameras
• Bluetooth
• App store

does not work:

• Modem
• Battery charge indicator

Unfortunately, the most necessary and main function of the mobile phone does not work. Call, write sms, this Android port does not know how, due to the lack of a modem driver for the ill-fated Wave. By the way, a similar situation was with the port of the android on the Samsung gt-s8000 (Jet), there, too, everything rested on the modem. According to the port developers, the hardware responsible for the modem is similar in both phones, but no one has written a driver for it. Maybe never write.

I did not set the port. In my Wave2 are not going to release a public build.
