Such a camera was collected at Duke University. It sticks together images taken from 98 separate 14-megapixel sensors.
There are examples of other similar gigapixel cameras, but they just first took a series of individual images, and then glued them into a panorama. And this device captures all images simultaneously.
On KDPV you see one of these pictures. Fragments on callouts - this is a digital increase of 13 times, the distance of objects on these callouts - from 15 to 93 meters.
