Sony rolled out an upgrade to Android 4.0.4 for Xperia S
The good news is for all new Sony Xperia S owners - today Sony has finally introduced an update to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, and this applies to all markets, including the Russian one. Depending on the territory, it will be available immediately or in the coming weeks.

So, in Android 4.0.4, the owners of Xperia S will be the first to get acquainted with the updated applications WALKMAN, Album and Movies.
The WALKMAN application offers a combination of Sony audio technologies with the expansion of the player’s social capabilities, incl. thanks to integration with Facebook and access to album covers, images of musicians and information about the music being played directly from Gracenote .
The Album application offers intuitive ways to sort and quickly view high-quality videos and photos, as well as view, comment and share photos on Facebook and other online hosting services using the Xperia S camera.
The Movies application makes it easy to play and view high-quality video, as well as loading posters and other information about the movies you are watching.
And also in Android version 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich:
• Improved lock screen functionality
• “Sprawling” widgets
• Improved battery consumption control
• Button "Latest Applications"
You can update your phone “over the air” via a mobile network or WiFi, or using Xperia Update on PC Companion or Bridge for Mac. Keep in mind that the update weight is about 200 MB.
