Skolkovo Foundation is looking for startups in Ukraine and Belarus

In the near future, the Skolkovo Foundation will start working not only in Russia, but also in neighboring countries: “We are absolutely confident that this year Skolkovo’s representatives will work in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus and Armenia as the most innovative people partners in the CIS, ”said the Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Igor Morozov, in an interview with RIA Novosti

This decision was made on June 20 at the conciliation commission of the CIS countries to implement the interstate program of innovative cooperation of the Commonwealth countries, which is operated by the Skolkovo Foundation.

By 2015, it is planned to create a network of national contact points. “Skolkovo” will become a tool for selecting innovative developments in order to finance them “from start-ups to the level of commercialization,” said Morozov. At the same time, the fund does not receive any share in the company - financing is carried out exclusively from higher principles (development of innovations).

To date, 161 companies have entered the Skolkovo IT cluster . Project participants receive tax benefits: exempt from income tax, VAT, property tax, receive a lower rate of insurance premiums (14%) and compensation of customs payments (customs duty and VAT) on goods imported for use in Skolkovo.

Startups get a number of services for free, including a business coach, offices at a discount price of $ 300 per year per square meter. m, research equipment, software at preferential prices, assistance in accounting, advice on intellectual property, customs and financial services, visa-migration support, etc.

Some companies (about 20%) in Skolkovo are also given grants.
