Sharp's Android Feel UX Shell

The Japanese company Sharp decided to offer its users a look at the user interface in Android - it, together with the design agency frog , developed a proprietary shell, which was tentatively called Feel UX.

First of all, a quick analysis of the video makes it possible to conclude that the company, in general, does not deviate from the widespread “grid” system of organizing icons and widgets, although they are separated by different tabs, which, as can be seen from the video, three are Apps, Widgets and Shortcuts, with labels can be arranged nonlinearly, and applications can be grouped into one icon.

It is also interesting that quite active work with the device is supposed without the need to unlock the screen - you can flip through photos, turn on the player, see the weather, stock indexes, etc.

Feel UX is oriented to work on smartphones of the Sharp Aquos family, the technical characteristics of which look like this (meaning Sharp AQUOS Phone 102SH released last year): TI OMAP4430 dual-core processor with 1 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with a density of 329 pixels per inch.

See how Feel UX works on the video below. The shell will be available for this summer in Japan.
