It's no secret that all applications in iTunes are examined - they are viewed by live editors. Despite this, individual scammers still successfully earn their thousands of dollars. It is completely incomprehensible how they manage to pass the test.
Yesterday, the public’s attention was attracted by a certain Nikolai Potemkin, who started selling Microsoft Word 2012 program in iTunes (

Apparently, Nikolai published the program under the guise of a “manual” (for example, under the name Tips for Microsoft Word), and then he made an update and changed the name. Although, in the case of a name change, a new binary is needed and the application seems to be re-running through the editors. It is not clear how they missed such a brazen fraud.

In iTunes, there are more than a dozen "masterpieces" from Nikolai Potemkin, with fake reviews. Here are some of them:
File Manager (game)
Beauty Meter! (assessment of the beauty of the face)
Oldity MeterVideogram Pro (Instagram Fake)
Fruit Defense (fake Fruit Ninja)
Orient Fighting (Temple Run fake)
F1 Birdie Driver (fake races with the Angry Birds character)
and so on
If all these applications still go to the brink, then in the case of Microsoft Word 2012, the author clearly crossed the border.
