The Japanese have developed virtual avatars

It seems that many lovers of anonymity and virtual transformations (including mature men who communicate in chat as 15-year-old schoolgirls, and without any malicious intent) will soon receive another interesting tool. Not for work, no - for enticing interlocutors of entertainment. A team of Japanese developers has created a specialized software that allows you to get a virtual avatar, exactly the same as your movements and facial expressions.

Only the avatar itself is nothing like you. For example, the main developer, Yasue Mitsukura, showed two types of virtual avatars, both of which are pretty anime girls. They accurately reproduced the developer’s movements, including facial expressions and head / neck movements. The technology works on the basis of capturing and processing key points on a person’s face. All this happens in real time, processing and conversion is almost instantaneous.

All you need is a regular PC and a laptop, the software in question, and a camera. The program captures the above key points, which includes the eyes, nose and mouth. White marks on the screen (video) show those key points, and the red line shows the position of the face. Interestingly, the system monitors the facial expression of a person, and without any errors converts it into the same expression on the avatar's face.
