Skype 4.0 for Linux

The developers thank the Linux community for their patient and indecent long wait and present Skype for Linux version 4.0.



According to the authors, this version of the popular messenger has overcome the lag from other platforms and introduced functionality and interface improvements previously available for other operating systems ...

Major changes:

• new dialog box
• new window calls,
• improved sound quality
• improved video quality, added support for new cameras.

Less significant changes:

• improved synchronization of messages in the chat,
• new icons!
• the ability to store and view phone numbers within one contact,
• the probability of a program crash is reduced,
• quick download of chat history
• support for Czech and Norwegian languages.
