Microsoft is negotiating the purchase of Yammer for a billion dollars
In an effort to strengthen its social capabilities, Microsoft intends to acquire Yammer - for more than a billion dollars, reports The Verge. Yammer is mainly used as a tool for group communication within the company and collaboration. At launch, the service was very similar to the earlier version of Facebook, but Yammer calls itself a corporate social network and refuses to compete with universal social sites. Reportedly, the deal between Microsoft and Yammer could be closed this Friday.
