Android remembers wi-fi location

Found an interesting effect, after moving to a new apartment, when I was at home, the phone determined the location by the old address.
First thought - he remembered where the Wi-Fi point is located and now, when he sees it, automatically substitutes the location. Then I just turned off Wi-Fi, but nothing has changed.
It is very strange, because apart from Wi-Fi nothing occurred to me. It turns out the Wi-Fi in the phone does not turn off to determine the location.
The next step I decided to forget the network, then the phone must forget the location of this point. Again, nothing, the phone stubbornly continued to show the old address.
I had to pull the router out of the socket, after which my real address was determined.
It remains to check, if you rename the access point, then in all likelihood he must remember for her a new address. But there are a lot of Wi-Fi points with dir-300 or default addresses, you cannot tie only to the name.
