The first Russian search in wap-resources is launched.

Mail.Ru company launched a beta version of the wap-search engine. The new service will allow mobile phone owners to search for information on Russian wap sites.

The wap-search technology is completely proprietary to Mail.Ru. The system was originally designed for Russian-speaking users, which included, first of all, full-scale indexation of Russian-language wap-resources and the use of full-fledged Russian morphology

Currently, the Mail.Ru search engine is processing 33 million wap documents.
