A long time ago, Microsoft introduced its Microsoft Surface Touch Desk. Since then, many companies have developed their own counterparts, and some of them deserve attention. However, Samsung, in partnership with Microsoft, created the next generation of this device. In the development of the hardware, the main role is played by Samsung, which is why the device was named
Samsung SUR40 . But it all works on the basis of Microsoft Surface 2.0. The device supports gesture recognition, multi-touch control, and, among other things, it recognizes objects lying on the surface.
The simultaneous number of touches supported by this device is more than 50, which is quite enough for teamwork. The developers claim that the Samsung SUR40 allows you to recognize business cards, documents or screens of mobile devices. The developers have included in the configuration of a dual-core AMD Athlon II X2 processor with a clock frequency of 2.9 GHz. The thickness of the panel is slightly more than 10 centimeters.

Not surprisingly, the Samsung SUR40 supports both vertical and horizontal position of the touch panel. The panel size is impressive - 40 inches is enough for comfortable work (both single and command).
It is clear that Samsung SUR40 is intended mostly for companies - all this can, of course, be placed in an apartment, but it is also expensive (about $ 8,400), and it is unlikely that someone will be particularly useful for solitary work. According to the developers, such a device can be useful for all sorts of consulting agencies, IT-companies, trading companies and others.
