For some reason lately, I often come across articles about startups and descriptions of new startups.
So I decided to post my idea. If you have the desire and opportunity - criticize.
The fact is that once I noticed frequent and repetitive questions on the Linux forums. And these questions were very similar. These are newbie questions about the system. And I noticed comments about Linux from users who previously used another OS. So in these reviews there was the same sincere ignorance of simple, for experienced Linux users, things. And I decided that it would be good to collect all the information on these issues in one place and present it as simply as possible, easily and clearly.
And I also wanted to show the full power of Linux, customized desktop desktops. Those. what it looks like when everything is set up properly. It is to show and explain, and not just to surprise with the beauty of three-dimensional interfaces. And all this with specific examples of using Linux programs for specific tasks.
And then my idea took on this form:
Make a LinuxStart Project! - a site for beginners in the world of technologies of Linux and Open
Source.
The site will be a variety of materials on the topic, namely:
- news
- articles, reviews, press releases, success-stoories, etc.
- review flash videos and even video on the subject
- reference
- presentations
- photos and screenshots
')
The material on the site will be presented in an interactive way, i.e. will be
Some web 2.0 technologies are used:
multiple bookmarks per page, downloadable materials, interactive
help, tables of application programs with the description.
Moreover, the site will be a real modern web 2.0 forum - vanilla.
Also on the site will be tags and tag cloud, temporary hide system and
content highlighting, comments, etc.
But the most interesting:
The site will use something like a demo zone, i.e. special
the main site on which the content will be loaded as
of necessity (with the help of AjAX).
The site should be as lively and dynamic as possible.
The main thing - to provide the user with exactly the information that he
wants to see.
Those. the engine will "track" on what links on the site goes
user and give him the necessary, the most relevant material.
What has been done:
- There is a domain (linuxstart)
- Some blanks (engine (Immerse), design)
- Team
Content is at the stage of filling / writing.
The site itself is still empty.
If someone has a desire to take part in the project - welcome!
The author of this project is Rinaldus. He first posted on
www.linuxforum.ru the idea of creating this project and I suggested that he work on the project together.
And thanks to his idea this article was born.
