Model Institute, created in Minecraft, printed on a 3D-printer
Ben Rothman (a sophomore) created a half meter map of Northwestern University. This model is unique - first the entire campus was modeled in Minecraft, and then printed using a 3D printer.
In total, Ben took about 600 hours to do it (he started working in general in November). Materials for 3D printing took $ 2500. ')
Data export for printing was done using the free Mineways program. Such data can be used to work with 3D printing services, for example, Shapeways and i.materialise .
