Halo 3 set new records

Despite the fact that in the comments to several topics, the information about the first successes of Halo 3 already skipped, let me tell you a bit more about them.

So, for the first day of sales in the United States, the game Halo 3 collected a fantastic amount of $ 170 million. This was officially announced by Microsoft itself. Thanks to such impressive collections, Halo 3 set at least two records at once. The first relates to the computer games industry: not a single game title has collected so much money for the first day of sales. The second record is much more global: even the highest-grossing films did not provide their creators with more than $ 104 million for the first day of world hire (just as Spider-Man 3 collected). By the way, the previous version of the game - Halo 2 - on the very first day earned Microsoft "only" $ 125 million.

It would be interesting to know whether the launch of Halo 3 has affected the sales of the Xbox 360, but Microsoft is not in a hurry to share this information yet.
