Visualization of sound without a computer

Dutch photographer Ivar Teunissen designed the Visible Voice installation to visualize sound without a computer. Ivor attached a mirror to the speaker, which vibrates from the sound transmitted through the microphone and amplifier. The laser beam is reflected from the mirror and "draws" sound waves on a rotating phosphorescent disk.
