Visualization of popularity

Everyone knows simple ways to display the popularity of a particular section of the project in the form of statistics output, but statistics are always numbers of the past. We wanted to show visitors the real situation, to create a kind of additional entry point when you can find out about interesting events on the project just by seeing where your friends and acquaintances are present. And you can learn about the activity of not only watching the site, but also listening to our online radio, playing on the game server, downloading something from FTP.

From the additional, you can view the site to see who besides you is still present on this page, watching a podcast, etc. (viewing is available only to registered users).

Unfortunately, we didn’t find similar services at the time - “Interactive site map” or whatever you call it correctly, so they created it on a whim :) What are the considerations of visitors about the development of the service?
