Computex will feature tablets on Windows 8

Almost immediately after the release of Windows 8 Release Preview, a number of major manufacturers will present a series of tablet devices and laptops on Windows 8 at the upcoming June 4 Computex (Taiwan) exhibition.

Acer, Toshiba and ASUS (the latter is going to release a long-awaited tablet from Google in June) will show their new products, teaser videos of which hint that the monopoly Android world on mobile devices is coming to an end.

Here is one of the videos from ASUS.

According to Bloomberg sources, the Acer solution will be based on the Intel platform, Toshiba will rely on ARM processors, while ASUS will present the tablet either in two versions (both Intel and ARM) or the dual-boot version of Windows 8 and Android 4.0. Also, ASUS, apparently, uses one of the Tegra chips from nVidia, and conceptually the device will repeat the Transformer form factor successfully found by the company; The novelty will be represented by Microsoft Vice President Steven Guggenheimer (Steven Guggenheimer).

About the price of the tablet is not yet known.
