Dell has finally officially unveiled its latest gaming notebook, the XPS M1730.

Rumors about the release of this monster go on the web for a long time, but Dell itself bothered to tell about his creation only now, reporting on the release of a laptop in a corporate blog. Judging by the post, the guys are very proud of the device and talk about it in colors. The laptop really turned out gorgeous, and the technical characteristics will make even the owners of expensive heaped desktops raise their eyebrows. So, the XPS M1730 is built on the Intel platform and equipped with Core 2 Duo processors (in particular, the Core 2 Extreme X7900 pebble overclocked to 3.2 GHz), two gigs of RAM, two NVIDIA GeForce Go 8700M GT video cards (SLI-mode works, of course ), two hard drives with the possibility of combining them into RAID 0 and RAID 1, as well as a full keyboard with a digital unit, backlight and a special Logitech GamePanel display (displays various in-game information: health, ammunition, etc.). But the most interesting thing is the support of the AGEIA PhysX 100M physical accelerator. It turns out, Dell XPC M1730 - the world's first laptop with a discrete accelerator. All this abundance is covered with a lid with a 17-inch display (1920 x 1200 pixels, response time - 7 ms).
By the way, if you believe all the same post on the site direct2dell.com, subsequent versions of this laptop will be equipped with even more powerful video subsystems as they become available.

Now about the price. The laptop in the most modest configuration can be ordered on the Dell website, paying $ 3000. A more powerful version will cost $ 3,600. But for the most stuffed copy, the company asks for almost $ 4,500!
