PolyFuel has published information that its specialists managed to create a fuel cell unit with a record energy density of 500 W / l. This indicator is a clear breakthrough in the field of methanol conversion technology (DMFC). Moreover, the battery created by PolyFuel is capable of delivering 56 W of power, which is twice as much as most laptops currently require.

The beauty of fuel cells is that, unlike conventional batteries, which are simply thrown away after use or batteries that require charging, they run on fuel (in particular, methanol), which can easily be replenished. The process of refilling is to change the cartridge, which is enough for an average of 8-10 hours of work of a standard laptop.
In general, the technology of fuel cells is more than promising and, among other things, is of interest to manufacturers not only due to the power output from the batteries and the battery life. After all, you can earn on the sale of fuel cartridges no less than, for example, on inkjet printer cartridges.
