The multi-kilometer traffic jam, almost disregard for the rules of the road and the lush harvest of accidents - this has long been the usual situation on the major highways of Moscow and other major cities in the expanses of our former great Motherland. It is not a secret for anyone that the most effective tool in the fight against violations of the rules has always been the guarantee of the inevitability of punishment, even for the most seemingly minor offense. But to put a guard on every problem area of ​​each highway or avenue is simply impossible. Therefore, abroad, and recently - and we, are increasingly replacing live traffic cops with electronic systems for tracking traffic safety, which automatically identify the perpetrators, determine the punishment, and send fines to the owner of the car by mail.

There is no doubt about the effectiveness and usefulness of such systems for the life of a city. However, the fact that video cameras can trace everyone, wherever he goes, many people are worried and give a strong reason for paranoia. And nowadays there are enough reasons for it. And if it is impossible to avoid getting into the view of Big Brother, I would like, at worst, to know how far it extends.

For this purpose, the GAI Video site, which is still in the alpha-version stage, was created. Its main purpose is to serve as a container for the location of cameras, wherever they are.


It must be admitted that besides the actual embodiment of the idea of ​​using the Google Maps API to create an interactive map with markers, there is nothing particularly surprising on the site.
