On June 23, 2012 (11.00 - 13.00) , the conference “Russian startups: local or global players?” Will be held within the framework of the XVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The globalization of Russian startups is one of the main trends of the domestic market. Only recently, representatives of at least 30 foreign venture capital funds visited Russia to meet and talk with Russian developers. Along with this, the state supports small business and contributes to the development of the innovation environment of Russia. But despite this, domestic projects are not widely represented abroad.
What prevents them from being present in the world market?
- Perhaps there is a problem of insufficient competence of entrepreneurs who can think big, as well as a shortage of staff capable of implementing global projects.
- Perhaps Russian startups are not initially oriented towards the global market, preferring to focus on the local market.
- And finally, the problem can be the inability to present oneself in a favorable light and constant dissatisfaction with the results achieved, as well as the lack of skills to promote in the international market.
