Knut - wireless sensors for home or office

Over the past few years, several modular systems for tracking various characteristics in the home or office have been on sale. Humidity, the level of gas concentration in the air, the vibration of the door, the vibration of the windows, the rush of the pipes - all this is recorded, analyzed and sent to the owner. Not all systems are equally convenient, and developers are trying to produce all new models. This time the Knut system appeared on the market, while the developers claim that this system is universal.

With its help, you can monitor in real time (the broadcast goes to the Network by transmitting data via Wi-Fi) the humidity in the apartment, the temperature of the water in the aquarium, the status of "open / closed" for a window or door. Knut, the so-called system, will inform the aquarist that the water in the aquarium heats up, and the fish owner can save the pets before they brew.

Knut modules have built-in temperature and battery level sensors, plus some features can be added. Necessary functions can be added independently, this possibility also exists. So far, only a working prototype of the system has been presented, to complete the work, the project authors are going to collect additional funds through Kickstarter. All this works on a pair of AAA batteries, which last for a period of 2 weeks to 10 years, depending on the system settings.

The cost of the system will not be very high. For $ 115 you can get the system itself and an additional sensor. For $ 175, you get a system, three sensors, and a three-port hub. The approximate date of the appearance of the gadget on sale is the beginning of September of this year.
