Paypal conducts 60% of web transactions, Google Checkout is far behind
Google Checkout is the fastest payment gate with an average payment time of 0.26 seconds. But this is not too reflected in its popularity. The monitoring service New Relic conducted a small survey (21 thousand clients, 109 thousand transactions) and published statistics on the processing speed and number of transactions for each payment system.

During the test period from January 13 to April 20, 2012, 113,626 calls were made, of which 66,059 went through Paypal, 17,991 through Authorize.net, and 7150 through USAepay. The fourth and fifth place was taken by Stripe (4548) and Google Checkout (3407).
