It seems that the topic of mini-computers is becoming increasingly popular. Many manufacturers have already announced their intention to create their own mini-PC, and some companies have succeeded. VIA Technologies is also trying to keep up with the others, having recently announced its project based on the Eden X2 processor. This computer, according to the developers, is designed for installation in cars, but will be used in home media systems or professional equipment.
Characteristics of the device are quite interesting. The fact is that the Eden X2 is a dual-core processor with a core frequency of 1 GHz. In this PC there is no purely processor cooling system, the developers have carefully thought out the design features to get passive cooling. By the way, this portable PC is called AMOS-3002.

This system can work in a wide range of temperatures, from -20 to +60 degrees Celsius. So it will be used in a variety of conditions and regions, that's for sure. Moreover, the system capacity is enough to decode 1080p video. In addition, there are gigabit Ethernet ports, USB ports (6 pieces of USB 2.0), headphone and microphone jacks.
According to the developers, optional support of 3G and WiFi wireless communication is possible (installation of modules in the MiniPCIe slot), as well as SATA disks. As for the price, nothing is known yet. Clearly, I would like the price to be not too great.
