In the second half of 2012, Amazon plans to release a color version of its reader. Of the announced TTH - there will be no familiar infrared touch panels. Well, no LCDs, this will be an eInk + colored EPD panel.
Kindle Fire showed that the demand for color reading rooms would be quite good. Now, electronic versions of magazines, for example, are more often bought by tablet owners than by eInk’s black and white readers, and Amazon knows this perfectly well. At the same time, the Kindle is often bought as a reader, rather than a Kindle Fire (one of the reasons is the price of
$ 200 ).
')
Color reader is very useful to those for whom actual reading of electronic versions of magazines, as well as textbooks and technical literature.
Now many people write a lot about colored eInk, but these are just developments and presentations, so far nothing has come to the mass market.
It will be great if Amazon makes a difference.
