ATI drivers for Linux came out
Novell SUSE has released an alpha version of video drivers for ATI Radeon R5xx / R6xx cards under Linux OS.
The drivers were released only 8 days after AMD disclosed the card specifications needed to write drivers . Currently, drivers only support entry-level options, but SUSE experts are planning to add support for more adapters in the near future and expand the functionality.
New drivers are available in a package for several distributions that supports the Fedora OS, Mandriva, and all variations of SUSE.
