First experience in developing a distance education portal

Recently, distance education is relevant. "Education 2.0".
By 2012, several organizations already offer online university-level education for free:
• Coursera - developed by Stanford professors Daphne Koller and Andrew Ng [ Coursera ].
• Udacity - founded by three robotics including Sebastian Thrun, a computer science professor at Stanford University, who is leading the development of Google's self-driving car [ Udacity ].
• MITx - created by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) under the leadership of Vice-Rector MIT L. Rafael Reif [ edX , MITx ].

Having completed several similar courses, I was inspired by the idea of ​​creating a portal of distance education. There was a need to use in the educational process the latest developments in remote learning based on Moodle and the Machine Learning course from Andrew Ng [ Machine Learning class ]. Perform a symbiosis of online and offline learning. Now, the student enrolled in the course is given the opportunity to do homework and laboratory work without a rigid reference to the place and time interval, which will unload the classroom and increase the time for additional training at home. Now there is no need to check every written student program by hand. The “Distance Education Portal” ([ time4study.net ] login / password: 123) stimulates the timely implementation of the curriculum and allows the listener to independently monitor the results of their work.

Now I actively use the [ MIT OpenCourseWare ] resource. In particular, I am a huge fan of Gilbert Strang [ Gilbert Strang ] and his course [ Computational Science and Engineering I ].
It would be nice to make this material remote, by analogy with the [ Machine Learning class ] and others,. I invite like-minded people. It requires a lot of work: shooting lectures, editing footage, programming in Matlab / Octave, writing tests, etc.
