NBC programs freely available on NBC Direct

The company NBC Universal announced information about the upcoming launch of an online service called NBC Direct, in which users can easily download many popular programs and television shows NBC. It is noteworthy that NBC is keeping up with the times and plans to realize the possibility of working with the service, both with the help of a regular PC and from mobile devices. Accordingly, the video will be presented in different formats. And most importantly - the service will be free. Wow competitor from iTunes is scheduled.

But not everything is so rosy. The apple (and Apple has nothing to do with it, it is exclusively about NBC Direct) turned out to be somewhat wormy. So, it will be possible to download this or that program from the site only seven days after it was broadcast. Further, the company plans to build ad units in each video file that cannot be rewound (by the way, how is it?). Well, if these first two minuses are not too significant (nothing, users will survive), then the next drawback is already more serious: you can watch the video only for seven days from the moment of download. After this period the file will be unavailable.

However, it may be at the testing stage (October) and by the time of launch (November) something will change. In the meantime, another question is more interesting: will the users of the Russian-language segment of the Network be able to work with this service, or will things be the same as with iTines.
