The company NDS presented a working prototype of transparent TV

In some cases, a large TV on the whole wall is not the best solution, and it is not always possible to harmoniously place a flat TV receiver on the wall in your own apartment or office. NDS introduced the working concept of transparent TV, which in the off state is almost invisible. In this case, the “TV” can be composed of several separate elements, so that the diagonal of such a TV can be arbitrarily large.

The presented development is six transparent TVs that form a single system. Management is done from the iPad (where would it be without it, right?). The total resolution of the resulting system is 3840 * 2160 points. The size of the image can be adjusted, from the smallest, to the image on the entire composite screen.

The developers have created not just a big TV, but an information system to which you can add various kinds of widgets (weather, exchange rates, TV program, etc.).

All this is a rather expensive system, now its price is 30 thousand dollars. Nevertheless, the company's management is confident in the future cheapening of its project - after all, the cost of developing a prototype is always very big. If the system goes into industrial production, the price will fall, and significantly. However, this “future TV” is unlikely to become cheap. According to representatives of the company, their project will be available to the average buyer in five years.
