The Pirate Bay should be blocked, the Hague court said after introducing Net Neutrality ...
The Hague court ruled that the resource The Pirate Bay should be blocked by the Dutch providers UPC, KPN, Tele2, T-Mobile and Telfort for 10 days. Failure to enforce the judgment will be punished for providers with a fine of up to 250,000 euros. As expected, a court decision can and most likely will be appealed.
Attempts to restrict access to The Pirate Bay in Holland began in 2010, when the anti-piracy group BREIN Foundation attempted to block access to the site for Ziggo provider’s clients, the provider refused and then BREIN were forced to appeal to the Hague court a few months earlier by the same court, it was decided to block access to The Pirate Bay not only to the Ziggo provider, but also to XS4ALL. The BREIN site at the time of writing was not working, Anonymous noted that the site should be overloaded due to the influx of TPB fans. ')
Anonymous @AnonyOps Seems #BREIN is having difficulty w / their website www.anti-piracy.nl Must be overloaded w / new fans from #TPB / Pirate Party #censorship
Remarkable is the fact that Holland just a few days ago adopted a law on so-called Net Neutrality . And although a previously adopted law prohibits providers from charging traffic to special rates or prohibiting customers from using services such as Skype, it still allows you to block certain websites with a court order.
