Granny's Dancing on the Table - a new film under Creative Commons

Granny’s Dancing on the Table

Several years ago, a very significant event in the history of cinema and the movement for the free distribution of information took place - Hanna Sköld shot the first full-length film in the world, distributed under the CC-BY-NC-SA license (“Creative Commons prohibitive commercial use prohibition” license) Nasty Old People .

That film was shot on a private loan of 10,000 euros taken from a bank. The loan has already been given back - 7,500 euros was received from Swedish television (this is less than this channel usually pays for Swedish films, but still a decent amount), and about the same amount was given to donations.

But this time, Hannah has more serious plans - she is shooting an even larger film. It is called "Granny's Dancing on the Table" and it requires 50 thousand dollars. She collects money with the help of Kickstarter. Simply put, this means that if the required amount is collected on June 1, it will be deducted from those who have invested. If less than the required amount is collected, then the financing of the project is canceled (that is, no one will lose money if they do not get enough). Currently invested $ 6,688.

Hannah plans to release the film simultaneously in cinemas and free of charge, for free download, on the Internet.

In addition, she has a goal to collect 10,000 photos of our grandmothers and their stories (bad or good), and they will fall into the so-called “Universe of grandmothers” - Granniverse .

As for the film itself - it has a rather interesting storyline. This is a movie about a girl who has the ability to predict earthquakes. She grew up away from society, and is now trying to change her life.

Whatever it was, but this project should pay attention, and at least watch the video. I think if Hannah succeeds in accomplishing this, then there will be much more interesting.
